SBI FD Interest Rates 2022 – SBI New FD Scheme Utsav Deposit: On the eve of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Indian independence day 15th August State Bank Of India (SB) has launched SBI Utsav Scheme for a limited scheme period of 75 days. Under this scheme SBI is offering 6.1% interest rate on term fixed deposits tenure of 1000 days. Under this Utsav Deposit scheme SBI is offering 0.5% extra interest rate for senior citizens.
What are the Benefits of SBI Utsav Fixed Deposit Scheme?
As per the State Bank of India (SBI), SBI customers will get 6.10% interest rates on their fixed deposits done within this 75 days period. This Utsav scheme period has started from 15th August 2022 and will end within 75 days. So, SBI customers can take benefit of this hiked FD rates scheme for just 75 days only. Senior citizens of India will get 6.60% interest rates on their fixed deposits under this scheme.

Under this scheme SBI customers who will make fixed deposits for minimum FD tenure of 5 years or more will be eligible to claim income tax exemption under section 80C of the Indian Income Tax Act.

Can I Withdraw SBI Fixed Deposit (FD) Amount Before Maturity Period Under This Scheme?
Like any other SBI fixed deposit scheme this Utsav Deposit amount too can be withdrawn before its maturity date but banks may charge penalty for doing this.
